SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage is a type of massage that is specifically tailored to sporting injuries.

It is not designed to be a relaxing massage and indeed can become quite vigorous and uncomfortable at times.

Contrary to its name: Sports Massage is not only used for professional sports people or people who exercise a lot, it is also of great benefit to anyone that does regular exercise even be it gentle exercise.

 

WHY SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage is designed to help prevent and relieve injuries and conditions that are associated with exercise. It is often quite strenuous and is meant to relieve and reduce the stress and tension that can build up within the body’s soft tissue while exercising. There are three types of sports massage Pre, inter and post massage and may help the sports person to increase their endurance, performance, reduce injuries and aid with recovery after strenuous exercise.
